Now Canon takes remote pan and tilt into the HD era. The Caanon BU-40H is a new remote control pan-tilt camera which provides superb HD footage in such outdoor broadcast situations as concerts and sporting events, news outside key locations and, of course, reality TV.

The BU-40H lets the operator remotely control almost as many camera functions as he could with a BOX type camera - such as pan & tilt of the platform, zoom & focus of the lens - to obtain a readily adjustable high detail HD image.

The BU-40H lets the operator remotely control almost as many camera functions as he could with a BOX type camera - such as pan & tilt of the platform, zoom & focus of the lens - to obtain a readily adjustable high detail HD image.
It comes equipped with a 20x high-performance optical zoom video lens - with a 2/3 conversion you can shoot at 8.25mm wide to a 165mm close-up. All from dimensions of just 386mm(W), 390mm(H), 337mm(L), and a weight of 17kg .

High-definition television standardBy adopting a 3CCD system with a 1/3" total of ~1.67 million pixels (effective pixels 1440 x 1080), the BU-40H achieves the highest level of HDV standard in high resolution . Excellent unity and colour reproduction is guaranteed by the "DIGIC DV II" image engine.

The BU-40H enables HD/SD-SDI output that supports non-compressed output
such as embedded audio. As HD-SDI signal and SD signal (VBS) can be output simultaneously, the HD-SDI can be used as the main line system and the SD signal as a monitoring system. Moreover, thanks to the onboard GENLOCK function (HD (3 values)/ SD (BB)) the image system can work in sync.

Thanks to its low-priced yet high efficient spread-type outdoor platform, the BU-40H is fully configurable to meet any budget. It will bring your remote shooting up to the HD standard effectively and painlessly.
